There is a growing demand for sustainable thermoformed trays and clamshell packaging. At Gaia Biomaterials, we have developed a version of our limestone-based, compostable material, Biodolomer, that is suitable for sheet production up to 1 mm in thickness – perfect for thermoforming.

Using Biodolomer in your production can be the easiest way to transition to more sustainable packaging – making your packaging certified compostable and free from microplastics, while at the same time reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 80%.

Biodolomer granules can be used in almost all production techniques where plastic is the norm: film blowing, sheet production/thermoforming, extrusion coating, injection moulding, etc.

Recently, we installed our own production line for sheet roll stock in Sweden to meet the needs of a customer manufacturing trays for major medical companies.
